After several years of working with Flash in a professional team environment, I have learned many little things that can help make life easier for myself and others. Labeling things accurately has been one of those things I discovered. In this video, I will show you how I label movie clips and layers effectively and quickly.

While recording this tutorial, I also realized that my work-flow was also an aid in design for animated advertising banners and I point out why sometimes it is best to design before every attempting to animate, leading to better finished products by using an example previously created for a client. A while back I let loose a handy little Flash command I made for myself to use at work. I work in a team production environment and sometimes you have to think about how a project might be updated and understand that not everyone has the same font list to work with.

So, I did some experimenting and found a system of breaking text into vectors while saving a backup version as editable classic static text on a separate guide layer. This backup system is done almost automatically with simple keyboard shortcut assigned to a JavaScript command.
