Just a couple of weeks ago, I was asked by a friend associated with Camp Twin Lakes if I could help them out with an event they had coming up. It was Camp Twin Lakes 20th Reunion and Anniversary event. They told me that just like the logo I had done for them previously, they couldn't afford to pay but they were having dinner and said I would be welcomed to join them for a free meal.

I didn't have anything planned that weekend so I told them I would be happy to help out again. If you didn't catch me post previously about Camp Twin Lakes, they are a non-profit organization setup to cater to special needs children. It is a really nice thing they have going. Being a bachlor, I am always happy to sit down to a free meal so I volunteered.

I started taking photo walks again during lunch and I had remembered a pair of fantastic buildings that always caught my eye so I took a nice walk to find a nice view of the buildings. I ended up on location for the office buildings and was walking around the nice campus taking photos when I was approached by two security guards.

Lazy Little Alligator

I brought my D200 camera with me for family photos while out playing mini golf this past spring. I couldn't resist taking a photograph of this lazy reptile I came across as we entered the course. I even liked his little dab of sand on the nose for added character.

This little guy was less than 3 feet long but he laid on the rock wall like a huge beast with nothing to fear. This was fitting since he was located near a pond as decoration to the Adventure Mini Golf place the family and I visited in Hudson, Florida earlier this year. Nothing to do but lay around and wait for people to feed him.

FlickrWell, after a few years of sharing photos on Flickr, I have decided to move on to better and greener pastures. It has been something I have considered for about a year and when my pro membership was up for renewal last month, I opted to let it expire and just keep free account.

Originally, I planned to keep the free account which limited my online portfolio to only 200 photos and it would just become 200 of my latest additions instead of my complete collection. That idea changed however after Flickr decided to deny my API requests from Lightroom to upload a couple of my newest shots. 2 weeks after my pro membership expired, I was unable to upload photos from Lightroom and received a message instead that asserted only pro members had access to Flickr's API channels.
