Most of us know there are tons of different Twitter clients popping up everywhere as Twitter's popularity grows. Which one to use is really preference. We all have different needs when it comes to features, usability, and platform. I still consider myself a beginning tweeter but according to Yahoo's KNOW YOUR mojo website, I am a Concierge or a busy tweeter whom is a "genius at showing people all the best URLs around the web." That's kinda funny and cool too. I thoroughly enjoy learning and helping others learn too.

So, back to this Twitter client chatter. I am a Tweetdeck fan and been using it on my desktop and iPhone both. Now, I converted to a web application known as Hootesuite. It operates similar to Tweetdeck, but slighty different with the added space of tabbed columns. It offers a few more features such as more search and filter to column options and a really cool option to send a search column to your blog or website using code they generate for you. But wait... there's more.

Let's talk stats. I am not a marketing director nor do really need all the statistics available in Hootsuite but, they are really nice and offer plenty of feedback in a variety of areas. Find out your daily clicks in graph form incuding total clicks and clicks for each tweet as well as the region of the clicks. You can check stats for the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or set a date range.

Then there's the multiple account management. Easy to manage multiple accounts at once in tabs within the browser window. Also easy to see stats for each account. Easy to select accounts for selected tweet broadcasts... just plain easy.

And let's not forget the Hootlet. Add the Hootlet icon to your toolbar bookmarks for quick and easy tweeting of websites that you stumble across. Don't even have to have Hootesuite open in browser window to use it.

Now, the cons I have run across. It seems to really bog down Firefox to make updates to my 4 layers of tabs with 4-5 columns each. I began leaving it open in a tab but soon realized it was hogging the browser's attention so now I open only to use and close rather than let it sit and go to sleep mode which is less draw but still a drain on memory. Perhaps closing some tabs might also help so maybe I will drop down to 2-3 tabbed layers.

Still, a very handy client plus it works in my browser and doesn't require installation of software like Adobe Air for those situations were you are not granted admin permissions. I highly recommend Hootsuite.com to anyone looking for a good twitter client.
