Just a couple of weeks ago, I was asked by a friend associated with Camp Twin Lakes if I could help them out with an event they had coming up. It was Camp Twin Lakes 20th Reunion and Anniversary event. They told me that just like the logo I had done for them previously, they couldn't afford to pay but they were having dinner and said I would be welcomed to join them for a free meal.
I didn't have anything planned that weekend so I told them I would be happy to help out again. If you didn't catch me post previously about Camp Twin Lakes, they are a non-profit organization setup to cater to special needs children. It is a really nice thing they have going. Being a bachlor, I am always happy to sit down to a free meal so I volunteered.
It was a nice day. Not too hot with temps in 60's and 70's and bright and sunny. They had a few others taking photos and asked me to cover their climbing tower. It started out slow and before you knew it, we had all types of climbers trying to conquer it. Young and old, big and small all took their chance to climb to the top and ring a bell.
I spent most of the day in that spot until around 4 pm when I made my way over to the where the announcements were being made because I was told to shoot photos of the speakers and crowd.
After those shots, it was time to take a break and eat with the visitors. They fed us all some good pulled pork and chicken sandwiches with cole slaw, potato salad, frest fruit and even little brownies.
All-in-all it was a nice day with a great group of people who were all there to support a good cause. I filled nearly one 4 gb card and ended up with about 60 keepers. I sent them all the marketing director and they had them all up on Facebook by the following day and told me thanks for the great pics. You can see the gallery of shots here.
