I have a growing collection of microstock art at Dreamstime.com that includes photography, 3D illustrations, and 2D illustrations. I tend to update it a few times a month on the average as time allows.
As multimedia artist with over a decade of advertising experience, I try to imagine what might be good commercially for advertising use when I create a lot of my images but never consider the use of my images for mobile apps until recently after an email.
The email was from an Android app developer with whom had purchased one of my 3D illustrations and wanted to show me how it was used. He had incorporated my image into the background of his app titled Number Paradox.
If you are an Android phone user, check out the game available for download on Google Play. It looks like a very interesting concept and challenging game.
With this in mind, I think all stock image contributors should consider this category for their future portfolio pieces. I know I sure will.
